Ghost Radio scans genuine internet radio stations from the Radio Browser directory and processes the live audio through an analogue receiver chain: bandwidth narrowing on the tune, static bursts between stations, saturation, wow and flutter, and a rolling buffer that can catch and repeat a fragment.
Stations are connected to directly by your browser and nothing is proxied, cached or rebroadcast. Not every stream can be processed - one that sends no CORS headers is skipped rather than played flat - and the frequency on the dial is a visual simulation, since an internet stream has no broadcast frequency.
